About the AFN

A group of businessmen, several of them members of the Semi-Pro Football Hall of Fame, have recently approached InVision Publishing Company, Inc. in order to publish the American Football News™ on a monthly basis during the long semi-pro football season. The AFN, as it will be referred to, is published in a tabloid news/magazine format promoting the efforts of the participants and administrators of the American Football Association and its affiliate organizations, the Semi-Pro Football Hall of Fame, the AFA National Coaches, Players and Officials Association and the AFA Alumni Assn. The AFN has become the “official” publication of each of those national organizations.

The AFN publishing and editorial duties are in the capable hands of Ronald J. Real, president and founder of the American Football Association. The AFA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation in its 25th year of operation.

Mr. Real has more than 35 years of experience in the advertising and publishing business. Eight years ago, he retired from his Chicago-based advertising agency and moved to Sarasota, Florida where he works full-time promoting the semi-pro, senior amateur and international levels of American Rules Football.

The AFA president is convinced that the American Football News™ will be instrumental in making the game of football become an ‘eventual’ Olympic Sport…and an opportunity for ‘non-professional’ (semi-pro/senior amateur) players and coaches worldwide to compete internationally.

The American Football Association, Inc. is the proud sponsor of the US National Amateur Senior team for International play. Team USA has taken part in international competition in the past by traveling abroad playing international football teams while promoting its goal of making the sport of American Rules Football an ‘eventual’ Olympic Gold Medal sport. Your advertising dollars can help make that possible.
